Saint Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church

(Established in 1898)

Welcome to Saint Mark

Saint Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church has been serving the West Seventh Street community for over 100 years. We are located approximately one mile southwest of the Xcel Energy Center on West Seventh Street across from Mancini's Restaurant. We have a friendly congregation with deep roots in the community. Worship service is mostly traditional with special services throughout the year. The choir is complemented by an authentic pipe organ.

Sunday Service begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Fellowship Hour at 11:00 a.m.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Communion is served on the first and third Sundays of the month.

Services falling on the last Sunday of the month are shared services with our shared ministry congregation, St. Luke Lutheran, located at 1807 Field Ave. in St. Paul. The shared services alternate between the two churches. Shared worship for odd numbered months (Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept & Nov) are held at St. Luke at 9:30. Shared worship for even numbered months (Feb, Apr, June, Aug, Oct & Dec) are held at St. Mark at 9:30.

St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church will host the next Shared Worship Service held on February 23, 2020.

Children are always welcome!

Greetings from Pastor

Emily Rova-Hegener

Welcome to the St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church web page! Our congregation's tagline is "In the City for God and for Good" and we invite you to share in our mission to bring God's love and peace to the West 7th Street neighborhood of St. Paul. Our people gather for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00 to hear the good news of Jesus Christ, to encourage and care for each other, and to discover ways to bring God's joyous love to our neighbors.

We realize that we are imperfect, broken people and that we need God's strength and hope to accomplish any good. We share our ministry and pastor with St. Luke's Lutheran Church and host two other congregations in our building. We believe God's mission is so big that it needs all of us working together. You are warmly invited to join us as we seek to do good for Jesus Christ.
