Throughout the Bible, God tells us to set aside one-tenth off the top –– or from the first –– to be used for good and Godly purposes. And life –– your life –– will be enriched and you will find grater meaning when you do that.

So often we only talk in terms of giving money. Of course this holds true. Think of the difference your offerings and contributions make. You make such a difference!

The opportunity exists to also talk about how we use our time and how we serve. Lent reminds us of the ““timely”” reason for tithing in the first place, to find greater meaning and mercy and grace with God. During the next few weeks especially, please consider dedicating your time and energies where they are most needed:

Sunday school storytellers, craft helpers, snack makers, etc. With our new curriculum we need more people and each person does less!! We only seek a 2-3 week commitment.

Youth volunteers needed for mentoring, planning, chaperoning, driving.
